A new start for a new year: 8/23

After a very, very long absence, I am finally rededicating myself to this venture. So here is today, so far.

9:15 AM: veggie sausage patty and 1/4 cup autumn wheat cereal
9:50 AM: 1 mile jog + Valerie Bertanelli "Losing It" workout video. I am out of shape and it was hard.

1:00 PM: iced coffee with skim milk
2:00 PM: 1 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup blueberries and blackberries
4:00 PM: turkey and havarti sandwich on wheat, black tea.

About to go to our "welcome back BBQ" for incoming students and meet my little mentees. My game plan is to load up on the sides (salad and fruit and grilled corn) and eat half a burger. We'll see how this goes.

Ok, so no healthy sides.  But still, I didn't do too badly.
6:00 PM: yuengling lager and a mini veggie kabob and a roll with a very thin layer of bbq chicken - it looked sketch to me.  Turned out to be delicious.
8:30 PM: corona light
10:15 PM: chicken, broccoli, green beans and potatoes (jenny meal - 270 cal!)
10:40 PM: hot chocolate with 2 tsp of milo
